Oι Doobie Brothers είναι ένα όχι και τόσο γνωστό συγκρότημα στο ευρύ κοινό. Ιδρύθηκαν το 1970 από τον John Hartman και τον Tom Johnston και υπάρχουν μέχρι και σήμερα αλλάζοντας κατά καιρούς τα υπόλοιπα μέλη του group.
Όταν άκουσα το Long Train Runnin ήμουν γύρω στα 19 την ηλικία της μεγάλης φυγής. Ήθελα να μπω σε ένα τραίνο και να φύγω, να γνωρίσω τον κόσμο. Αυτό θα ήταν το τραγούδι που θα έπαιρνα μαζί μου και μια κιθάρα... τίποτε άλλο. Τα υπόλοιπα θα τα έβρισκα στο δρόμο...
Έχουν περάσει άλλα τόσα χρόνια και λίγα παραπάνω και ακούγοντάς το έχω ακριβώς την ίδια επιθυμία. Όμως αρκεί ένα τραγούδι για την μεγάλη απόφαση της φυγής;
